Having discarded the paella idea as a main dish for my 6-person girlie dinner (no way to work it so people can contribute) I now think I want to make a really spectacular seafood pasta of some sort. I'm thinking either lasagne or tossed pasta. I am open to recipes, suggestions, whatever. I had the idea of some kind of deconstructed lasagne with layers of pasta squares and seafood sauce. Shrimp, scallops are on hand. Side dishes will be determined by what the main course turns out to be.
I would love some help here. It's a birthday-ish celebration so it can be quite fabulous.
