Scallops tonight

I have 8 beautiful diver (untreated) scallops for our dinner tonight. I had planned a quick pan sear and to serve them with a sauce maltaise. There were no blood oranges in the store. So shifting gears I am leaning towrds a light breading, pan frying serve up with lemon and drawn butter, some matchstick frites and slaw. Anyone have any other good or better ideas?
