I am more than ready for a steaming bowl of soup by the time the first fall chill hits the air and rainy days turn my craving into a must have. Any suggestions for your favorite LA afternoon soup haunts?
I'm especially fond of the tomato soup at Clementine and the vegetable at Coral Tree in Brentwood. Also, King's Road (used to?) have a mean curried carrot.
I would love to find an aromatic tortilla soup that is rich with spice, lime and cilantro rather than thick with grease, but it seems to be an inigma outside of my own kitchen.
