Three of us went there for dinner last night and the food was good, but the service left something to be desired. I had the pre-fixe which is extremely reasonable, a glass of wine, soup or salad. I had the mesculan greens, very well seasoned although a little too salty for me. Entree was selected from a choice of 4 entrees: fish of the day (mahi mahi), chicken breast and 2 pasta choices. I had the linguine with assorted mushrooms in tomato sauce. Dessert was mixed berry sorbet and coffee or tea. All in all, I enjoyed all of it.
One friend had 2 apps: endive w/ chopped cabbage and other greens w/ a citrus flavor, very good and kind of sweet tasting and the gravlox which was fine.
Another had a warm spinach app with goat cheese which was very tasty and seafood pasta which looked very similar to my dish. This dish was not good, strange and tough seafood in it and some tinfoil in it that my friend discovered towards the end of our meal. She called this to the waitress' attention and she brought the piece of tinfoil into the kitchen and came out and said it's from when they wrap the food and what could she do for us. My friend had already finished about 2/3 of the dish so she said nothing and nothing is exactly what they did for us. We ordered one dessert in addition to my mixed berry sorbert and it was really good, except for the temperature. It was warm chocolate cake with chocolate topping, strawberries and vanilla ice cream. Very yummy and decadent, just too warm, it was practically hot.
The place was not busy given yesterday's terrible weather, however we constantly had to look for the waitress, she was very spacey. I liked the food, but not the service and what is usually done when something is found in the food, my friend did not want to make a fuss, but was surprised that not even dessert was compted. We went to Suba 2 weeks ago and the waitress brought out the wrong dessert, we told her it was fine but she compted that and the one we ordered which came out later and we ate. So 3 desserts for the price of 1. Should we have asked for something?
