Saturday Morning Portland Farmers Market @ Portland State University

Melanie Wong | Sep 15, 201812:06 AM     4

One of my favorite things when I travel is to visit the farmers market and food halls to learn about the kinds of local foods in season. The year-round Portland Farmers Market was a mecca in this regard. I've posted about several of the things we bought and/or sampled, recapped below. Now I want to show some of the beautiful produce and unusual varieties we spotted three weeks ago. Something different from home was to be able to sample distilled liqueur at the market. And I also want to give a shout-out to Chop for its robust charcuterie, http://www.citymarketnw.com/chop-butc... . We loved the Raging Grannies. Enjoyed this market very much and was so glad that we had a vacation rental with a full kitchen.
