Hey NYC Hounds,
I'm a Boston Hound who lived in NYC so long ago, I have no idea what's what anymore. MrLit and I are heading into the East Village for a matinee at Bleeker St Theatre. I'd like to grab lunch someplace interesting beforehand. The chow search function is not loving me right now, and anyplace that sounds like it might be worth checking out isn't open for lunch. I'd like to break out of my rut (we hit the same group of joints every time we're in the city), so I'd be excited to hear rec's for good lunch places in the East Village.
While we're at it, any ideas for late dinner up in the Columbia area?
Seriously, any and all cuisines are fair game, we're very flexible. We probably aren't looking to drop real heavy dosh on either of these meals, but good quality, interesting fare is a more important guiding factor than price.
Thanks all. I know it can get repetitive to field q's from out-of-towners, but I really appreciate any advice you could share. I'll get you back when you head to Boston. ;)
