Sat down to eat @ senor fred in the valley but paid the final tab @ luna park

Wanted to eat mex on Sunday night, but really did not want a full on mex looking joint – heard that SF fills the bill with a nice décor and solid food so I open tabled for a 07:15 and off we went – arrived promptly before the reservation time, was seated right away – place looked good, menu looked good, chips arrived and all is well – but then nothing, no water, no bar offerings, no contact with anyone – I tried on several occasions to flag someone down, only with a “not my section” or a “I will be right with you” click, click, click still nothing – I looked at my cell phone to get an accurate reading and @ 8:32 we got up and walked out – I looked for someone to tell them we were doing so and I could not even spot a hostess. Drove around for a bit and Luna popped into my head – hit the phone and was greeted with “come on over” we did – place was packed and did not feel like being thrust into the scene, so we ate @ the bar – bartender was a stout gal named arron (sp) that professed to making one killer marg – ok, I’ll bite – and boy, this gal makes a mean drink – between her and the kitchen, oh yes, and my SO, I was entertained the whole evening. Had simple dishes – cobb salad, fresh, chock full of chicken, bacon, avo, all sorts of great stuff and the burger – super good meat and fries to die for. Washed it down with a babcock pinot and life was good. Service based on results sux @ Fred’s and everything is great @ LP, it’s your choice. I even sent an email to SF – nothing – what a total waste of time.
