Sardinian wine

DoubleMan | Jan 28, 201109:27 AM

Does anyone know where to find a decent selection of Sardinian wine? I'd like retail locations, but a restaurant would be fine.

One of my go-to, everyday wines is the Sella e Mosca Cannonau (grenache), which I can find at most places. The only other Sardinian red I've seen around is the Argiolas Cannonau, which I don't like as much. Has anyone seen any others, preferably higher-end ones around? Drinking the Sella e Mosca always makes me wonder about the possibilities of the wines from that island - if that's what a major producer can do at the $10-15 price point, what can an smaller producer do at a slightly higher price point?

If anyone has seen any other vermentinos besides the Argiolas and the one with the shrimp on the label, that would also be appreciated.
