Why should I eat in Santa Monica or Koreatown?
Heading to LA in a few weeks for 7-8 days (work). Need to be on the west side of LA / Santa Monica, will not have a car, using Uber, Metro, etc.
Already have a few recommendations (Park's BBQ, Huckleberry) from the fantastic threads but now I am wondering 'why?'.
Why do you like to eat in Santa Monica or / vs. Koreatown? Atmosphere? People? Choices? No tourists (ha!)?
I have a pretty good list of where to eat, now community of Chow, tell me why you like to eat in these neighborhoods?
(Sorry for the double post -- new here, did not realize the difference between discussion posts and Q&A posts. Also, no, not a food blogger or journalist -- I am a designer heading to LA for some client work -- just trying to get a better idea of the neighborhoods.)
