Santa Fe restaurants

I followed the advice of a July poster from this board and booked a table at The Compound. We sat on the patio, and it was really a lovely setting. The sweetbread appetizer and the buttermilk chicken were delicious, unfortunately our evening was marred by a table of loud, probably drunk Californians next to us. We probably would have asked to be moved, as they were really annoying, but we had our seven-year-old with us, and I thought he'd be distracting himself. As it was, he was less of a problem than they were. The dining room was loud but not as bad as the noise was more blended together...I really don't know what to advise people except to ask for the patio but ask to be moved if you have the same problem as us. I have never experienced this in a NYC restaurant, and the price of the meal was comparable! Good restaurant but overpriced in my opinion, not an overly creative culinary experience.

Harry's Roadhouse was the best experience hands down. We had 3 meals there in 4 days. Wonderful breakfasts, the breakfast burrito and lots of egg scrambles. Lovely staff! I even got a t-shirt. The blue corn turkey tortillas and the smoky ribs were the best. Friday night is lobster night (not kidding), we waited 45 minutes for a table arriving at 6:PM, so plan accordingly.
