Santa Clarita Italian reviews

LisaN | Apr 26, 2006 05:28 PM

I've been meaning to do this for awhile, and the Santa Clarita post has prompted me. I've been able to sample a lot of area restaurants for lunch and wanted to post about them. So far we haven't found anything horrible, which is good, and I don't always order under ideal conditions -- typically I've been ordering lunch for at least 15 people.

Here are the reviews for Italian places.

24135 Magic Mt. Parkway

Good pizzas, on the small side, its more like an invidual pizza, but two people can share it and a salad and have a nice meal. Their salad dressing is tasty, and they have a small market attached to them. I haven’t tried anything but the pizza and salad.

Pizza Dimarco

Small apparently family run restaurant. Can get busy at lunch time if school is in session, its near the school. Really good prices on lunch specials, specials were around $7 and included soup or salad and a soft drink. has an array of pizza, sandwiches, pastas and salads. I tried their eggplant with sundried tomato and really enjoyed it. Salad ingredients were really fresh and employees were really nice.

Uncle Leo’s Pizza
31430 Castaic Rd, Castaic, CA

Good pizza and salad. Homemade meatballs were good, but sandwich sizes are a little small, definitely get the larger one if you are getting a sandwich. Turkey sandwich was kind of ordinary and didn’t stand out. They will toast your roll in their pizza oven which is a plus in my book.
