Sandwiches for a Crowd in Harvard Square?

Dizzied | Apr 19, 2005 01:26 PM

I'm in charge of the food for a monthly lunch in Harvard Square. I need to feed around a dozen people sandwiches, drinks, and cookies -- the sandwiches must include a decent tuna salad on bread, and the menu may not change. (Don't ask.)

So far I've tried Darwin's (FABULOUS sandwiches, but expensive, with horribly bad service, and they don't accept credit cards) and Pronto (good sandwiches, great service, credit cards accepted, but my co-worker doesn't like their sandwiches so much).

I'm loath to give Darwin's our business given all the unpleasant experiences there. I stopped by Cardullo's last week to get a menu -- but they were very weird about catering, want a week's notice (which isn't practical for this event as the numbers change) and charge a service fee, which neither of the above places do.

So...I'm at a bit of a loss -- chowhounders, do you have any other suggestions in the area? I can pick the food up if it's not too far away, otherwise need delivery. Thanks in advance for your help!!
