Ok, last San Jose question.
Has anyone tried this place? It seems like it could be really good or really awful.
I THINK it is a husband-wife team - Sarah and Bob. She's from Chihuahua, Mexico and her cooking is Guanajuato influenced, like the mole.
Bob's mom grew up in New Mexico and the enchilada's and chile verde have those influences.
Seems Sarah likes French cooking and Italian so there is some of that in the dishes (pasta Mojo de Ajo or Mexican lasagna).
I'm a little impressed that they are serving the wine from Robledo Family Winery, a small Napa winery run by a Mexican family ... interesting winery ... long story.
They also cater ... the 4 foot burritos.
Anyway, some of this menu is fascinating to me ... maybe in the way an accident is fascinating ... like the carne asada omelet for breakfast ... how can you go wrong with that?
If anyone has been here, what do you think of the:
Roasted Rosemary Chicken Nachos
House ground beef w/ minced potatoes sopes
Camarones ogados (drowned shrimp)
Tomato, Basil & Mozzarella quesadilla
Tomatillo Chicken Soft Tacos
Mexican Cheese Steak torta
Grilled Carne Asada Chipotle Wrap
Pineapple upside down cake (I loove silly drinks)
Crème de banana Margarita
Anything you love, or is this hopeless?
