San Francisco + Sonoma visit in May

elasticwaistband | Jan 14, 201504:20 PM

Hello all,

Visiting Northern California for my first time for a special birthday trip (not saying which number but it induces heaving drinking and eating).
Here's my thinking so far:

Landing in SF in time for Sunday brunch: Zuni? Anywhere else that would give us a "welcome to SF" quintessential experience?
Sunday dinner: Looking at Rich Table, Del Mar (love ceviches)

Monday lunch: after Alcatraz tour - thinking something Asian - maybe The House, Slanted Door or ?? Not into dim sum.
Monday dinner: Cotogna

Sonoma is easier for me: Glen Ellen Star, Scopa and the place that';s name escapes me that does bbq'ed oysters in Bodega Bay are on the short list. Anything that is a real stand-out would be great to hear about of course. We are open to all cuisines.

Any breakfast place in the marina area would be great too as we are making our way out of the city to head to Sonoma.

We will also be having a dinner in Sausalito - thinking of either Poggio or Sushi Ran (love sushi and here we are on the Pacific so makes sense).

Thanks so much.

Zuni Café,
Rich Table,
The House,
The Slanted Door,
Cotogna,
Poggio Trattoria,
Sushi Ran
