I'm new to the board, and new to San Diego. Lately, I've been thinking about the inherent decadence of
the all-you-can-eat buffet. The concept is so wrong...and yet so right.
My childhood buddy is visiting me next weekend (10/28), and we have decided to patronize the East Buffet on that Friday evening. We are generally health-conscious, career-minded 20-somethings who prefer to spend our weekends hiking, hanging out with friends, or pursuing more sophisticated endeavors. But our plan for Friday,10/28, isn't about what we usually do. It's about chowing down and exploring the magic that is the East Buffet.
We were wondering whether any other SD chowhounds might be interested in joining us for dinner. Look at it as
a chance to meet and eat with two really interesting
people. If you are an adventurous foodie with a sound buffet strategy and the gift of conversation, we would love for you to join us. E-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org, and I'll send directions and details as 10/28 draws closer.
