San Diego Chowhound BBQ II: A Good Time Was Had By All

buddha | Jul 29, 2002 12:12 AM

We got off to a late start from the original 2PM time and the traffic on the * going West was a disaster as we were going 5 mph.

The menu consisted of Grilled lobster with garlic/ginger/lemon juice/butter/parsley as well as little neck clams with the same topping,
grilled chicken with a honey/soy/rice wine vinegar/5 spice mixture.

We had veggie skewers, grilled corn on the cob, a nice rice dish, salads, pineapples and mangos, home made chocolate chip cookies, and more that I probably forgot.

It was nice meeting some new faces as well as the chowhounds that came to the first one.

Everyone was very friendly, open and cordial, nice company!

I was talking with some of the guests and they are thinking of having a banquet at Jasmine as well as a BBQ III.

Let me know what you guys want to do for the next theme.

Enjoyed it,

Jeff (buddha)
