After thinking it over it is best if we have a 'modified' clam bake. A traditional clambake requires digging a 3 ft hole in the ground, cover the hole with rocks, add the hot wood or charcoal, add seaweed between each layer of food, and then a tarp over the top. The only place that would let us have an open fire would be in Coronado and I'm not sure if everyone is up for that kind of work.
Anyway, I have attended several clambakes and the food is difficult at best to cook evenly. Most times something is over cooked.

So I thought why not have grilled lobster, clams, chicken, corn on cob, clam chowder, veggies, etc. It will cost $25 per person for the lobster, clams, and chicken. We will split the rest of it up with everyone
bringing a side dish and also their own drinks. Anyone not eating lobster will be less of course.

If anyone has a charcoal grill to use it would be very helpful.

The prep would not take much time maybe 1-1 1/2 hours.
