Weird request here. I'm looking for a place for a long meeting for a writer's meeting of four people. It will involve at least two-three hours of reading aloud from manuscripts. But we need to eat, too! Food should be not fancy or pricey, but wide open otherwise. A couple people like Thai best, but are still open.
We could just meet at a beach and go somewhere for a bite in San Clemente, but it would be nice not to be right on top of other people at coffee shops or restaurants. I thought about eating at a hotel (gasp! so un-Chowhound) just to loiter around a courtyard afterwards at a table away from others.
San Clemente and Murrieta are the places nearest the halfway point for members, but we can shift slightly any direction.
