Salted Duck Eggs from China

Today we were shopping for salted duck eggs need for our up coming Chinese tamales (joong in Cantonese). It has been a yearly family party when we get together and makes these tamales once a year.

We found no salted duck so I ask the stocker and was told that due to problem with the health of chickens and ducks in China none were coming into the country. So if you are planning of make these joong then you better start making you own. Just a heads up for those who makes these.

There is enough time to make them using chicken eggs from the supermarket.
