I just got through telling this board how good Edward's Key Lime Pie is, then I see it at WalMart on sale at about 40% off. Upon eating it, it has crystals like maybe it's been defrosted and refrozen or something. Wahhh!
This isn't the first time this has happened. I never buy potato chips on sale anymore because I've had too many encounters with a bag full of scorched chips. I've found ice crystals in Dreamery ice cream that was on sale.
So, am I paranoid, or are companies putting their "seconds" on sale in regular grocery stores? I don't buy food at all at food outlet stores (I guess that's what they're called -- you know, the ones that never have the same products; the inventory changes all the time.) I've come to expect those stores to sell subpar stuff but I really hate to find bad food at regular grocery stores.
