Sala and Betty on Airport - soft opening report

slowcoooked | Feb 24, 201506:23 AM

We tried it last weekend and I had the ala carte 1/2 pound of pork shoulder with a side of green beans - nice low carb option. Pork was moist, room temp, and porky but had little seasoning and no smoke flavor (maybe by design). She had a chicken salad sandwich that was supposed to have an herb mayo but I think was actually a chipotle dressing. A "meh" vote for her. Notice in the pic the weird construction? I politely mentioned they might want to rethink their rationale for separating their bites into different zones. weird. The nice dude at the counter appreciated the feedback, while the blond lady on his left retorted "I had one earlier that wasn't like that". I just smiled, poor thing. Two other tables around us had the weird setups as well.
