Sorry to write this place up again, but on my last visit over a month ago I was served the following:
Skipjack sashimi with slivered ginger, sliced scallions, and ponzu sauce. Different and very fresh.
Coho Salmon sushi-the skin briefly seared, then 3/4s of it removed leaving a silver strip at the top of each piece, contrasting with the deep dark red of the coho. And a good hit of wasabi.
Thin slices of marinated grilled pork
Steamed chicken in miso sauce.
Aji (Spanish Mackeral) sushi. These were small fish, so one fillet per piece of sushi. Followed by the deep-fried head, tail, and bones.
Chicken and daikon soup with cabbage and a turkey ball. Wonderful light broth.
Uni-always incredibly fresh here.
Sardine sushi. A very fishy, oceany end to the meal. Like tasting the Pacific.
As always it was all good and filling. I left very happy (and that wasn't just because of the sake).
