Sage and Onion/Santa Barbara

kim c | Oct 30, 2004 01:47 PM

I'm in the initial planning stages for an upcoming trip to Santa Barbara. It will be our first time visiting this area. I have Olie e Limone down for our Italian dinner and for our anniversary dinner I have selected the Wine Cask.

We need one more dinner spot. Any opinions on the Sage and Onion? Opinions from one-time only and seasoned regulars are very much welcomed. Also interested in hearing both positive and negative responses. (How boring it is when we only have raves about places. (yawn)

Also, any opinions on Brophy Brothers for a casual meal. We're very spoiled by the wonderful seafood on the Oregon Coast. Is it really good? I would be interested in great clam chowder and maybe a crab melt or some really good steamed mussels. We will be having our breakfasts each am at Eladio's at the Harbor View Inn.

Any suggestions for places in the wine country there, also welcomed as we plan on going out one afternoon after our spa treatments at Bacara to wine taste. TIA!!! We usually go to to the Monterey/PG area for our anniversary trip but want to try somewhere new this year. ***kim***
