Looking for 'safe' places to eat around Tampa with a severe shellfish allergy...

I have a rather amusing problem... I'm going with my wife to Tampa, FL next week to visit here brother & his wife & our new niece... and I'm trying to scout out places in advance where it will be 'safe' for me to eat. I have a severe shellfish allergy... and I'm looking for places in Florida that DON'T serve shellfish.

I have an epi pen... but being in an unfamiliar area, and on what's supposed to be a relaxing vacation, I'd really rather avoid any possible danger.

I have become very sick before from eating onion rings fried in the same batter as some shrimp, so cross-contamination is a real issue for me... and a scary thing.

I'm new here, but I was referred to Chowhound.com by someone on Yahoo! Answers as a place that might be able to help me out.

Have any other suggestions for places to ask if you don't have a direct answer?

I could stick to some fast food type places where I knwo the menu is safe, but I'd like to catch some local places too. I'd simply ask my brother-in-law or sister-in-law, but they're relatively new to the area.

It's the Seffner area, if anyone's familiar with that.

Many thanks in advance!
