[SAC] L'Orchid Restaurant

Went to this recently-opened Vietnamese restaurant for the first time. There were plenty of items on the menu that, IME, you won't find in other restaurants in the area. The specialty of the house seems to be the "Bo 7 Mon," or Seven Courses of Beef. It looks like a great way to try a lot of different dishes, at only 14.95 per person (minimum two orders). Unfortunately, I was dining alone, so I went for the Sizzling Mushroom Steak (which is NOT one of the Seven Courses). A New York steak arrived sizzling on a cow-shaped cast iron plate, topped with caramel sauce, mushrooms, onions, and green onions. A cup of clear soup, salad with a sweet vinegar dressing, and "french fried rice" were served on the side. The steak was a little more well done than I wanted, but tender enough. Overall it was very tasty. I'll definitely be back for the Bo 7 Mon.
