Another well recommended clam shack type place that seems to get a lot of recommendations. It was hardly out of our way, so it was an easy lunch choice.
Clam chowder was comforting – a good creamy mix with lots of potato and lots of clams. I followed this with what I thought was an excellent lobster roll. Big chunks of lobster, bound with a little mayo. The bread, soft yet not disintegrating. Fries were good.
Opposite, the “clam basket” – a smaller version of the “clam dinner”. Even so, a generousserving of clams, fries and coleslaw. The clams were OK but the batter wasn’t really crispy, which made them less than wonderful.
