I have two more to go, but before I forget I wanted to share my opinion of my RW experiences at the places I went to last week.

1. Lunch at LCB Brasserie. We didn't have lots of time so the rapid service was just right for us, the atmosphere was very bistro-y. Wouldn't have cared for the pace otherwise. I had the seafood starter - shrimp and scallops in a cream sauce, served cold. I liked it well enough. For entree, I had the breast of capon with asparagus risotto. The chicken breast was good, but the asparagus risotto was subpar (I make risotto, and this didn't even use arborio). Dessert was a raspberry mousse - too sweet. Hmph - will not return but did not find it inedible.

2. Dinner at Rosa Mexicano on East 58th St. Excellent service and loved the atmosphere. The pomegranate margarita was just OK though - I expected more pomegranate taste. The guacamole prepared tableside was great - I loved having it with the warm corn tortillas, and certainly appreciated getting the recipe from the restaurant. I had the grilled salmon in a mole sauce, which was good but I did eye my husband's albondigas with great interest (enchiladas with meatballs). Unfortunately he's doesn't share. I got to have his rice and beans, which were great. Dessert was very nice, a coconut flan with pineapple. We'll definitely come back to try more of their menu.

3. Lunch at Fleur de Sel with the $17 wine pairing. Loved the space and the service was excellent. We both started with the mackerel tartare, very light and cool. The wine was a French rose that was very good. For entree, I had the skate and my friend had the braised veal. I preferred the skate, which was well prepared and went very well with a NZ Pinot Noir. We both had the chocolate gaufrette dessert with a lovely Maury (French red dessert wine). We'll come back again!
