Having never been to No. 9 Park before, my boyfriend and I were looking forward to lunch. We were seated promptly, sat at a table in the cafe in the window. There were three choices for each course. For the appetizer, I had the mushroom pizzette...tasty mushrooms, greens, good balsamic, on a little round of bread. Very nice flavor. The boyfriend had a cauliflower puree with an oyster on top...intense cauliflower flavor, very good and pretty to look at. Main course--I had duck confit, excellent. Tender, juicy, flavorful...came with a couple carrots, a fig, and mashed potato puree. He had the haddock tempura...moist fish, lightly battered, with corn and red potatoes...he cleaned the plate. For dessert, I had the peach soup with yogurt sorbet--delish, very light and summery. Came with a little chewy breadstick that had some kind of carmelized sauce on it, very good. He had black pepper cheesecake which came with a shaved piece of pineapple and little cubes of it...very creamy. All in all, a great lunch...service was very good as well, efficient with water, bread, etc. Looking forward to going back for dinner!
