I'm a devoted runner that runs 12-20 miles on weekends and usually around 13-16 during the week plus soccer practice. I'm not a super crazy exerciser, I just really like running. I'm slowly but surely training for the LA marathon in march and am in the process of testing what meals are the best for me to consume after a long hard run. I definately need to replenish good calories, but at the same time, I don't want to go overboard and feel stuffed to the brink. I also like delicious food though, and delicious does not always = healthy for my system post-run (I do indulge often to keep things interesting though). Does anyone have any suggestions on good food for the training body? I'm open to everything and will try anything! Also, I do like something sweet every night, so if anyone has a good and good for you recipe for something along those lines, it'd be great.
