Rugulach at Isaac

rcc | Oct 10, 2004 08:30 PM

I happen to see a bakery across the street after devouring one of Di Fara's one-of-a-kind plain square pizza. So I walked towards Isaac Bakery and I saw a couple of trays of rugulach by the doorway to the baking room. Bought a few chocolates and a few cinammon. These were with the thin dough, almost paper-like, with powdered sugar on the chocolate ones and a little sugar glaze on the cinammon ones. These rugulach are not doughy nor chewy, with thin wafer-like dough and are very good. Not overly chocolaty and not cloying.

It was definitely worthwhile Sunday drive to Brooklyn from midtown Manhattan for Dom's pizza and the good rugulach at Isaac Bakery.
