Rub/Timing Question

I'm making an appetizer with chicken wrapped in bacon; the chicken is rubbed with chili powder & brown sugar prior to wrapping. I'm not cooking until Saturday, is it too early to put the chicken in the rub? {it's Thursday night} Thanks :)
