ROVING CHOW FEST (All The Details)!

Chino Wayne | May 3, 2002 08:42 PM

This is it L.A. ‘hounds, the announcement that you have been waiting for, the all important details of the first, of possibly many, L.A. Chowhounds’ Roving Chow Fests. This event will be a celebration and appreciation of the diversity of dining opportunities in the greater L.A. area. Everyone is invited, so put on your official Chowhound T-shirt, break in to the piggy bank, gas up the car and pin on your official Chowhound pin. (Don’t have a Chowhound pin or T-shirt, shame on you, go to the link below immediately and order a few of each.)

Everyone is welcome to travel the entire itinerary, or to climb aboard, or hop off at any of the stops along the way. The entire purpose of this jaunt is for ‘hounds to enjoy some chow, enjoy each others’ company and enjoy the day, and, importantly, raise some operating funds for the Chowhound site. SOUVENIR ITINERARIES will be available, while they last, at each of the venues in exchange for a $5.00 donation. The souvenir itineraries both list the itinerary and include the official L.A. ‘hounds Miles Per Meal calculator. After all, this is southern California, home of the car culture, and every self-respecting L.A. ‘hound will want to be able to quantify their chowhounding experience by using the Miles Per Meal calculator. All donations received in exchange for the souvenir itineraries will be used to purchase “Goodwill” at the Chowmarket. All proceeds of donations will be passed along to Chowhound, all time and materials used to stage this event, collect and pass along donations is provided gratis by the participating ‘hounds.

There will be a limited number of souvenir itineraries available, so get yours early before they run out, you don’t want to be left in the dust by your fellow ‘hounds and not be able to calculate your Miles Per Meal.
