Ate here Sunday based on a recommendation from BookLady (thanx, whoever you are). Quite unique, very reasonable and unforgettable. As was said, almost like being invited over to someone's house for dinner. Two ladies run it-open only 11:30-2 Tues-Wed-Thurs-Sun. Converted house--fresh roses on each table-clean, classy, organized--all homemade food in a small buffet. Everything for 15 bux. Service couldn't have been nicer or more genteel in a helpful, classic Southern style. Several meats, vegetables, salads, many homemade desserts (I had cherry cobbler and coconut pie.) Mostly iced tea and coffee for beverages, but others probably available.
Located 1.2 miles east of I-26 on Route 29 (8881 Greenville Hwy). Small sign at what looks like a private driveway--south side of the road. Make a reservation or call ahead.
An undiscovered treasure that mostly only locals know about. Can't wait to return.
