Rosa Mexicano a few months later

My wife saw a piece on Fox5 news yesterday morning showcasing Rosa Mexicano for Cinco de Mayo and we made reservations for dinner last night.

We had a pretty good meal. The Guacamole was good. They gave us a choice of mild, medium or spicy and we took medium. I thought they did a good job of not putting in too much salt so it balanced nicely with the salted chips. I'll agree with the other posters that the flour tortillas with the guac was pretty blah. We split a drink that I think was called banaguava. It kind of tasted like pear juice with tequilla.

My wife had the grilled marinated shrimp and I had the tortillas stuffed with crab meat and we spilt an order of plantains. I thought her shrimp was really good, nice flavor with a good crisp fresh texture. My crab tortillas had a pretty spicy kick to it and the creamy sauce was pretty good, but I think they could have used better quality crab meat. My wife really enjoyed the fried plantains. They had a nice sweet taste and they weren't too oily. We really liked the refried black beans too.

I can understand some of the previous complaints with the place such as the price for the dishes because it was expensive($95 with tax and tip), but I thought we had a pretty nice meal. Now whether it was worth $95?
