Rootsy, down-to-earth in-laws visiting DC

Don | Aug 30, 2005 10:02 AM

Philadelphia in-laws visiting this weekend. They really want to go to their favorite DC diner for breakfast. I need to find ane evening place that is not "fancy" isn't going to make them feel embarassed and contains a lot of food they know.

At first I thought Radius, but they refuse to pay more than $10 for pizza (they get amazing pizza for $5 each!)

My wife said, "Annie's Paramount Steakhouse!" But remember, I added, they're 70-yr old bigots and 17th St's a big gay neighborhood. "oh yes, they're bigots," she sadly replied.

So what's a rootsy place you all would take Archie Bunker?
