ROME AND FLORENCE HONEYMOON IN MARCH

Okay chowhounds - you were terrific in response to my earlier post last October when I went to Paris regarding restaurants and places to pop the question. So now we're off to Rome, Florence, and Lake Como on our honeymoon in late March for two weeks.

Here's the background to consider - we're 42 and 41. We're both well traveled and have high expectations food-wise, but please note, we don't drink alcohol. We're staying in Rome at Hotel de Russie, and in Florence at the Savoy, so money isn’t a concern this trip. We'll have four dinners in Rome (Wednesday through Saturday), and two dinners in Florence (Monday and Tuesday). What I'd like to arrange in each city is the following: one totally amazing no-holds-barred dress-up high end meal (such as the one we recently had at Taillevent in Paris), and then other meals in restaurants that still have terrific food, but are just a touch more laid back and, most importantly, very intimate and romantic.

In Rome, I’ve been directed to places such as Agata e Romeo, Dal Bolognese, El Toula, La Pergola, La Terrazza, Quinzi & Gabrieli, Relais Le Jardin, and Vivendo. In Florence, I've heard about Beccofino, Don Chisciotte, and Enoteca Pinchiorri.
