Restaurants & Bars 6

Rocky's, Cafe Sofia

Sallie | Feb 6, 2004 08:50 AM

In the New Orleans food discussion below, someone mentioned a cajun restaurant in Adams-Morgan, and I assume they meant Rocky's. It's not there any more. :(

However, it has been replaced by a Bulgarian place called Cafe Sofia, which was really really good. We ordered a bunch of different entrees and shared them.

Re-order recs: zucchini in yoghurt sauce (really garlicky and good--we had to get extra rolls to soak up the sauce), sarmi (cabbages stuffed with ground meat and rice). A couple of other things were good but not standouts like the preceding.

Try it--it's really reasonably priced and a fun change of pace. It's on Columbia Road, next to Cashion's.
