We had dinner here on a whim to celebrate our friend's birthday - you literally can get into any restaurant at any time during low season! I found this place to be beautifully decorated and the view is gorgeous, great atmosphere overall. The service was very good - we did not experience any snootiness and were made to feel welcome. The food was also very good for the most part. I started out with the hamachi sashimi appetizer with watermelon and it was refreshing and delicious. Next, I had bamboo steamed halibut with mixed veggies - another winner, very tasty. Then came dessert - while one of our dinner companions opted for the chocolate soufflé (which we hear was amazing) the rest of us ordered the strawberry tart. I believe one of the previous reviews said they were in the process of innovating their cuisine, well when it comes to desserts they should stick to the basics! They served us some weird deconstructed version of a tart with filling that can only be described as custard sausages - odd and not particularly tasty!
Overall though this was a very good dinner, good wine, great atmosphere - I would definitely return. Note this place is very expensive so do not be shocked when you get the final bill. Oh and make sure you visit the very cool bathrooms that are literally build into the Rock!
