Roast chicken bones for stock?

So I had some wonderful turkey stock a little while ago. Since then I've bought chicken backs from a decent butcher and been underwhelmed. My stock is not gelatin like the turkey.

So I have to add feet or something.

I cook in a pressure cooker for an hour. Do I have to roast the bones? It seems like too much energy spent.
