Road Trips North on Route 1: FAb EAting

I know this doesn't really belong on this Board. But, folks on the Mid-Atlantic Board told me about a place in Edison, N. J., that turned out to be fabulous.

So, if you ever go on a road trip, or meet friends from further NOrth, as we did:

Grand Shanghai, 700 Route 1 North, in Edison, about 3 miles north from the intersection with Exit 9 of the Turnpike.

Authentic Shanghaise food. We were the only Anglos in this gracious place. I drooled every time a platter went to others; we dummies all ordered luncheon specials, which were quite good, but not what you should go there for.

I'd put myself in the waiter's hands the next time, and just suggest he bring what's authentic and good.
