Road Trip Alert: DC to CHS to High Point to DC

rgustafs | Jun 3, 200504:49 PM     3

Four of us (adults, ages 23-60) are driving down to CHS from DC. We will be spending one week in the CHS area on the Isle of Palms. We will then drive back up through High Point and the wholesale furniture venues (hooray for business licenses!) to make some purchases over four days or so. Then we'll head back up to DC. The second week, we are pretty wide open about where we might be going. This is one time I don't have a set schedule.

I have a list of some places y'all have said are good CHS finds. Any places that we should not miss? We love "locals only" type spots the most.

Anyone have suggestions for good food in and around High Point?

We love good food, and we could care less if we have to wade through mud to get there.

Thanks!
