But the same situation has come up AGAIN (poor me, right? :)) so I thought Id try to get another round of "professional" advice.
I know I can waltz confidently into Dean & Deluca and order an ounce of truffles. I'm not intimidated by the word fricassee (the technique of first crushing and then re-caramelizing bones for an intense sauce). I'm a pro at making impressive dishes for a romantic soiree or a swank dinner party.
There's a little about me. So tell me, what restaurant should I visit this weekend for a special occasion? I need elegant surroundings, and of course ritzy food. Ducassee, Daniel, I'd love to hear your thoughts. XO.
