Riding Hell for Leather

Here's a challenge for you hounds out there.

I drive solo most weekends from Rhode Island up to Vermont during the winter for ski season. Leaving straight from work Friday, I return late Sunday night (I leave after the last chair). Because I'm burning the candle at both ends, I don't have the time to stop for especially civilized bites en route.

So I'm looking for fast and tasty chow that I can eat on the fly. I really am an "opportunivore." My route? Friday nights I start in Warwick, RI and head north on 95. Ring Boston on 495. Cut the corner on Rte 3 into New Hampshire. Pick up 93 to 89 in Concord. Hop off in Northfield, VT to skip over into the Mad River Valley. On Sunday, I head home via 89 to 91 south to Hartford. Head on Rte 2 East towards New London.

North of Springfield, Mass I have often wanted to stop at Donut Dip, but I'm never hungry for sweets when I'm at the exit. It's on my radar, through. Any other suggestions?
