Rick Bayless' restaurants...several questions...

Sorry, not sure how to handle the esses and the apostrophe...Anyway, I am still trying to plan my one free day in Chicago when I'm there on business next month. I'll be staying in Rosemont, but will have a free Friday to take the RTA into town and play. A Cub's game is a must (already have my ticket) but food is important too. (but not deep dish pizza...the "gang" wants to eat at Geno's east near where we'll be staying on Saturday night and one night of pizza is about one too many for me....). Anyway, I am thinking of detouring on the way back from the game to one of Bayless' restaurants...since so far I haven't found anything near Wrigley Field that really excites me. And I've always wanted to try his places....So: a few questions: Will I feel totally uncomfortable if I eat early but alone at Topolobampo? Will I be totally out of place there in clothes suitable for a baseball game? Am I better off going to Frontera Grill? If I do go to Frontera, can I expect a long wait around 5:30 on a Friday night, possibly later if the game goes into extra innings? Finally, since I'll be in training for the SF Bay to Breakers the following week, if I decide to work up an appetite by walking the four miles down Clark St. from Wrigley Field to the restaurants will I pass through any neighborhoods where I'd be a lot safer in a bus or a cab? And finally, finally: Would lunch right when the restaurants open at 11:30 be a better option? (I'm a little nervous about the lunch idea: I'd like a little shopping time in the am, and with the first pitch at 1:20 I'd be cutting it close and would certainly miss batting practice....) Besides, my husband is of the opinion that a Cub's game wouldn't be complete without a pre-game gyros....(hey, any suggestions for that?)
