Ricardo's Fish Taco stand in Silverlake

lvgoodfood | May 31, 2009 12:13 AM

Today we were craving a good cup of coffee, so we drove to Silverlake for Intelligentsia. When we parked our car, we noticed a cart just across the street, I could only read the word Fish from where we were, so we decided to cross the street and check it out. There we found these very good and authentic fish tacos. The owner's name is Ricardo, he is from Ensenada, Baja California. He told us that he uses his Mom's recipe for these great fish tacos. His fish tacos are very good. I grew up eating fish tacos in Ensenada, I know what a fish taco should be, or at least what it was many years ago. This is the real thing! He prepares each taco to order. Everything is prepared with care, and it is very clean.
Ricardo has a full time job somewhere else, but he told me that he plans on being at this location on Saturdays & Sundays from 12 to 4pm.
I highly recommend you try Ricky's fish tacos!
I posted some photos on Flickr. You may search for 'Ensenada Fish Tacos ~ Ricky in Silverlake.' ~
