Rib Roast Dilemma - To KISS or not?

I have a 6# rib roast I am cooking for Xmas dinner. Should I KISS(keep it simple, stupid) and use Julia’s tried and true recipe in “The Way To Cook” or should I stray into the abyss of Foodtv.com, Epicourious.com, and the like?
