Rhode Island - Places People Should Know But Don't

Okay ya'll.

Everyone knows about the places that get talked about, for better or worse.

But what about the neighborhood joints that don't get the press and don't get the mention they deserve.

In my opinion, these are the some of the best finds there are.

A few of my favorites are: N-Joi, Cranston. Awesome awesome awesome. I've been there three times now (they've only been open since Oct.) and have yet to be let down by anything. The chef's tasting menu never dissapoints.

Fat Belly's, which is on the Warwick/E.Greenwich Line (across from Goddard Park).). Awesome burgers, pizza, calamari, great beers on tap, a lovely little(!) joint. (rumors are they are opening a bigger place soon on Main St. in E. Greenwich)

Blakes's Tavern, Providence, more for the atmosphere than anything, but their chili is rockin' and their chicken parm ("the hill") is second to none.

Ralph's Bull & Claw, in North Providence: possibly some of the best old-school Italian around. Their veal is divine; their calamari is ....well....for lack of words.....also....divine!
These are just a few, any other mentionables in RI?
