Review: Pepper Sky Thai (Central Sq)

Went to Pepper Sky Thai in Central Square (Pearl St. just around the corner from Putnam furniture) earlier this week. This place opened up sometime in the last couple of months in a location where a Korean restaurant had been.

We had the following:

1) Drunken Noodles - Really good drunken noodles. A little bit oily and would probably ask for them a bit spicier, but the flavor was great.

2) Larb Duck - Excellent! I've never had Larb with duck. It was wonderful. Great up front citrus flavor followed by a real kick. Duck itself was well cooked and quite tasty.

3) Green Curry - Good green curry. A bit sweet initially, but followed with a nice spicy, curry flavor. The sweetness was a bit different from usual green curry but it worked really well.

Overall, I have to say it's one of the better Thai experiences I've had on the Cambridge side of the river. Also, the menu is very interesting. They have two menus - one that is their 'specials' and their regular menu. It seems that the specials menu is the more authentic dishes.

There are a bunch of things on the menu that seem worth checking out. A few dishes are described as traditional street stall food and sounded great. Also, there was a noodle dish billed as a purists noodle dish with just noodles and some egg and a few herbs.

Anyway, I heartily recommend the trip over...Oh yeah, most of the entrees are about $10-13....
