Resurrecting old posts - why?

janniecooks | Mar 3, 2008 01:32 PM

Lately there seems to be a fair number of old threads - two to three to five years old - resurrected by the addition of a comment. Now, my guess is the OP has long stopped following the thread, and it seems most of the time that the new post adds nothing new to the prior discussion anyway. If the new poster has something new to say, or has new relevant information then I say they should start a new thread.

Am I the only one irritated by these old posts rearing up again? I just don't see the value in it, but wanted to see if any others felt the same.
