I will be spending time with my husband in Provence this September (early Sept - last minute trip); as our main goal is to eat and drink well I am looking for some recommendations. This board has been immensely helpful in providing recommendations in the Les Baux and Luberon areas so far, but I haven't seen much (aside from L'Oustalet in Gigondas) in the way of recommendations in the Southern Rhone (areas around Vaison-la-Romaine, CDP, etc) - would love your help and suggestions!
We are looking for charm, scenic views, "quintessential Provence" and of course great food.
Our first 3 nights will be spent outside of Nimes (we are being hosted at a winery so we had no choice but to use this area as our initial base), and we need to determine where to spend 4 more. We will absolutely be spending time around the areas mentioned above as we have winery visits scheduled, so I thought Vaison la Romaine or CDP would be a good base. Second guessing myself as all the restaurants on my list are Luberon/Les Baux.
This is my first post and I have tried to do my due diligence - apologies in advance if I have missed threads on this topic.
Thank you in advance!
